EVENT: Faith and Climate Change ...

The Centre for Policy Developmenmt is organising a Common Ground seminar on climate change. Among the guests is self-styled "Imam" Afroz Ali, who represents a group called Australian Religious Response to Climate Change. You can book for the seminar here.

You can find out about othet ARCC management committee members here. I certainly hope the good "Imam" has been somewhat more upfront with these august persons about exactly what makes him adopt this title. Certainly he doesn't provide the same list of impressive credentials as he has claimed elsewhere.

One needn't be an imam to become involved in this issue. And in 21st century Australia, one needn't have any serious religious qualifications to be an Imam!

You think he is going to be the Jay Abraham or the Napolean Hill or lifestyle coach of Australia's Muslim community?

I can just see him autographing his best sellers:

The Art Of The Imam, by Afroz Trump
Think & Become An Imam, by Afroz Hill
Getting All The Volunteers You Can Out Of All You've Got, by Afroz Abrahams

How about a couple of Islamic jihad martial arts movies too:

Way of the Imam,
Enter the Academy,
Workshop of Death,
Ijaza of Fury... all starring Imam Afroz Lee.

Yup. He's an all rounder!
